Biography:

I grew up in Portland, Oregon and Houston, Texas. I have never attended the same school for more than 4 years during Kindergarten – 12th. My parents emigrated to the U.S. in 1973 from Hong Kong to ensure my siblings and I had more opportunities than they did.

I had grand plans of being a world renowned journalist but discovered my passion is in higher education. I have been involved with promoting access in higher education for almost 20 years.

One interesting thing about me:

I love dancing hula.

Christopher Rose

Biography:     

I was born on Naval Air Station Whidbey Island before moving to Naval Air Station Subic Bay in the Philippines.  I also lived on Naval Air Station Miramar, San Diego before spending several years of my life in Federal Way, Washington.  My father is from the South Side of Chicago and my mother is from Bicol on the island of Luzon in the Philippines.

I am a strong believer in supporting underrepresented populations in higher education.  However, my first passion is creative writing and I spend a large party of my free time reading and writing.

One interesting thing about me:

I was an avid collector of comic books for 12 years.

Biography: 

I am a first generation student and understand the family, financial, and social responsibilities that our students face, that is why I am such a strong believer in the Student Support Services program.  In my spare time, I love to listen to music and read all the free newspapers available on the PSU campus.

Biography:

Born in the rural South in a small city named Fort Valley which is home to Fort Valley State University.   I am the fifth of six children.  I am an Upward Bound alumni and worked with Upward Bound for nearly five years.
